Tushar Gandhi is the great-grandson of Kasturba and Mahatma Gandhi, son of Sunanda and Arun Manilal Gandhi, the US-based Peace And Nonviolence activist whose father Manilal was the Mahatma’s second son who along with his wife Sushila managed the Phoenix Ashram and published the Indian Opinion. Tushar spent time with his grandmother and sister at Phoenix Ashram andhas tirelessly advocated the ideas and principles of Gandhi’s philosophy and thought, and fought the ideology of violence and sectarian hatred. Tushar Gandhi runs the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation, based in Mumbai.
