Jabeen Merchant

Jabeen Merchant is a film editor trained at the Film and Television Institute of India, with a wide and varied experience within the mainstream film industry as well as the independent filmmaking community. She has edited a range of fiction feature films that have won commercial and critical success. She is particularly well known for her work editing and co-scripting several feature length documentaries in collaboration with some of India’s best independent filmmakers. Her work has travelled extensively to festivals all over the world and been broadcast in the USA, Japan and Europe. Apart from editing films, she teaches, consults on scripts and writes on cinema.
