Chief Instructor and the Chief Technical Director of the International Okinawan Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate do of India

Kyoshi. P. R. Ratnapala, aged 61, is the Chief Instructor and the Chief Technical Director of the International Okinawan Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate do of India. He is currently the President of Tamilnadu Karate do Association and has been elected as the Vice President of All India Karate do Federation (in charge of South Zone). He is a Asian Karate do Federation Kata Judge and a Senior Referee in AIKF. He has been teaching Karate since 1976.

He holds a 7th Degree Black belt in Karate with the title of ‘Kyoshi’, a 4th Degree black belt in Jinbukan Kobudo with the title of ‘Shihan’ and Ikkyu in Shudokan Aikido.

He has been going to Okinawa, Japan since 1993 for training karate at an advanced level. He is in charge of the Seibukan Dojos in Kuwait, Bahrain, New Zealand, Srilanka, Afghanistan, Qatar and the sultanate of Oman. He has been invited to conduct seminars on self defence working women at reputed companies and many educational institutions across different states of India. He is a Propulsive Committee member of Rengokai, which is a Japanese Government recognised body promoting Karate in Okinawa and world over.
